The season is approximately ten to twelve weeks in length. The season begins in early January and culminates in March. Volleyball is open to sixth grade girls. If the numbers are such in the volleyball program, the players will be divided into an “A” and “B” team. The “A” match is followed by the “B” match. Students practice drills, scrimmage, and compete with other schools. A monthly practice schedule will be distributed to the players. The sixth grade team does not compete in regional or state competitions. Students play in their gym uniforms. In order to preserve the gym floor, students are required to wear a gym shoe that is not worn as an everyday street shoe. Students are subject to Conduct Eligibility.
