Please call (815) 942-3605 to Report an Absence.

When a child will be absent from Shabbona Middle School, parents must notify the office by 9:00am (942-3605). If no phone call is received by 9:00am, Shabbona personnel must then call the child's home or the parent's place of employment to determine reason for absence. If the school cannot make phone contact with the parents/guardians, the absence will be considered unexcused. The parent/guardian then has 24 hours to contact Shabbona Office to explain the absence.

When the child returns to school, he/she must submit a note from a parent/guardian to the Shabbona School Office explaining his/her absence. Upon return to school, students are required to check in at the office.

If your child must leave school early, or arrive late, please notify the office personnel. Prior to a student being released from school, parent/guardian must sign him/her out in the school office.
