The season is approximately three months in length. The season generally begins the first part of September and ends in October or the first part of November. If the numbers are such in the basketball program, the players will be divided into an “A” and “B” team. The “A” game is followed by the “B” game (clock continues to run during the “B” game). Students practice and compete with other schools. A monthly practice schedule will be distributed to the players. The sixth grade team does not compete in regional or state competitions. Students play in a uniform shirt and their gym shorts. In order to preserve the gym floor, students are required to wear a gym shoe that is not worn as an everyday street shoe. Students are subject to Conduct Eligibility.
